About Cypress Epoxy Garage Floors

Cypress Epoxy Garage Floors was founded in 2016 by a former commercial flooring contractor who had spent a decade installing industrial epoxy systems in warehouses, manufacturing plants, and commercial facilities throughout the Houston metro. He recognized that the same technical rigor applied to industrial flooring — moisture vapor testing, mechanical surface preparation, correct product selection for environmental conditions — was almost entirely absent from the residential garage floor market in Cypress and surrounding communities.

The founding conviction was simple: residential garage floors in Cypress deserve the same installation standard as commercial floors. Concrete is concrete. Moisture vapor is moisture vapor. Beaumont clay doesn't care whether the building is a warehouse or a garage. The failure modes are identical, and the solutions are the same — except that residential customers were largely being sold inferior installation shortcuts because they didn't know to ask for better.

Our first year in Cypress, we turned down a significant number of projects from homeowners who had already been quoted by lower-price competitors willing to skip testing and grinding. We won projects from homeowners who wanted to understand why the extra steps mattered, and those customers became the foundation of our referral network. Bridgeland and Towne Lake homeowners who saw our installations recommended us to neighbors and friends throughout the Cy-Fair area.

Today we complete approximately 150-180 residential and commercial installations per year throughout Cypress, Katy, and Tomball. Every installation still follows the same protocol established at founding: moisture vapor testing before we price the job, diamond grinding surface preparation on every project, 100% solids commercial-grade epoxy or polyaspartic products, and the same 5-year warranty we have offered since our first year. We have never had a warranty claim we didn't resolve to the homeowner's satisfaction.

Our team of five trained installers covers the full Cy-Fair area and adjacent communities. Lead installers have a minimum of five years of epoxy installation experience. Metallic epoxy installations are assigned only to our two metallic-certified installers who have completed formal training in metallic application technique — a specialty that requires a different skill set than standard flake or solid color systems.
